Frances K. Hemme

Mrs. Hemme died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka.

She was born Oct. 2, 1914, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Hugh and Mattie (Scott) Roller. She had lived in Perry since 1984 after moving from Oklahoma.

Mrs. Hemme was a homemaker.

She married Clarence Hurd on June 19, 1937, in Perry. He died Dec. 9, 1953. She married Roy Lester Smith on Aug. 22, 1958, in Tahlequah, Okla. He died June 23, 1982. She married Ray Hemme on Oct. 2, 1984, in Perry. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Judith Ann Hurd, Topeka; two stepdaughters, Grace Ann Dunn, Meriden, and Doris Hemme, Topeka; two stepsons, David Hemme and Paul Hemme, both of Perry; six stepgrandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
