Raymond Benjamin Shockley

? Services for Raymond Benjamin Shockley, 77, Eudora, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church, Eudora. Burial will be in Eudora Cemetery.

Mr. Shockley died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at his home. He had been a resident of Eudora for more than 50 years.

He was born June 6, 1925, in Washburn, Mo., the son of Andrew and Bertha (Solly) Shockley.

Mr. Shockley served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was owner of Shockley Construction Co., Eudora.

He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Eudora, where he was a deacon, taught Sunday school, and was a member of the men’s fellowship.

He married Genevee Marcine Johnson on April 7, 1947, in Bentonville, Ark. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Judith Ann Ruff, Lawrence; a son, Kenneth James, Lawrence; a brother, Abram, Anderson, Mo.; a sister, Violet Hayworth, Cassville, Mo.; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn., Douglas County Hospice or to the church, sent in care of the mortuary.
