Simons-Shipley

Deena L. Simons and Mark A. Shipley, both of Lawrence, were married June 15, 2002, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence, with Pastor Gary Teske officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Donna Osness, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Jim Shipley, Lawrence, and Ginny and Colin Ovenstone, Lawrence.

Matron of honor was Lynne Buckley. Best man was Wayne Cobb.

Bridesmaids were Karen Thompson and Cinda Peck. Groomsmen were Mike Cobb and A.J. Simons.

Pat Osness was reader. Marin Peck, Sarah Thompson, Erin Jones and Dana Jones were ceremony and reception attendants.

Lindsay Jones was cellist. Luke Thompson, Logan Peck, Wes Buckley and Brandon Buckley were ushers.

A reception followed at the Osness’ home, 1654 University Drive.

The bride is a 1977 Lawrence High School graduate. She received a bachelor’s degree in education in 1981 and a master’s degree in exercise physiology in 1984. She teaches advanced and general biology at Central Junior High School.

The groom is a 1977 Lawrence High School graduate. He is a brick mason with Diaz Masonry in Olathe.

The couple live in Lawrence.

Dalaba-Tyler

Penny Noelle Dalaba, Oskaloosa, and Stephen Tyler Jr., Lawrence, were married March 30, 2002, at McLouth Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. David Showalter officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Cynthia and Olin Dalaba Jr., Oskaloosa. The groom is the son of Betty and Stephen Tyler, Lawrence.

Maid of honor was Marion Boos. Best man was Tony Beach.

Bridesmaids were Amber Blitch, Tricia Dalaba, Kristy Dalaba and Tonya Tyler. Groomsmen were Jay Blitch and Mickey Bryant.

Kyana Steffen-Beach was flowergirl. Christopher Blitch was ringbearer.

A reception followed at McLouth Church of the Nazarene.

The bride is a graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School.

The groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School. He is employed by Amarr Garage Door.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Milburn-Hirschmann

Audrey Michelle Milburn and Michael Lee Hirschmann, both of Baldwin, were married on Sept. 29, 2001, at Worden United Methodist church with Pastor Dale Lewis officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Ardyth Milburn, Baldwin. The groom is the son of Marc and Susan Hirschmann, Baldwin.

Maid of honor was Cybill Milburn. Best man was Billy Winegar.

Bridesmaids were Jamie Wegee and Micah Gibbs. Groomsmen were Chris Hirschmann and Matt Milburn. Kendra Kennedy was flowergirl.

A reception followed the ceremony in the fellowship hall of the church.

The bride is employed at University National Bank as a loan administrator.

The groom is a heavy equipment operator with N.R. Hamm Contractors.

The couple reside in Baldwin.
