Area Girls Roundup: Santa Fe Trail rolls over Kansas City Piper, 50-35

? Santa Fe Trail outscored Piper 14-2 in the first quarter and rolled to a 50-35 high school girls basketball victory Tuesday.

“Obviously we got out to a pretty good start,” SFT coach Brenda Dahl said. “We played pretty good defense but we just never got in sync with our offense. We feel good about coming out with a victory.”

Janelle Arnold led the Chargers with 16 points, and Melissa Ball added 12.

Santa Fe Trail will play host to DeSoto on Thursday.
