Lorin A. Snow

Mr. Snow died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community.

He was born Oct. 24, 1915, in Lawrence, the son of Richard Fulton and Myrtle Pearl (Wood) Snow.

Mr. Snow had worked at Sunflower Ordnance Plant and Barteldes Seed Co., both in Lawrence. He retired in 1982 from Allen Press, where he was a printer for 35 years.

He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lawrence.

He married Dorothy E. Vogler on Nov. 19, 1935, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Gary, Lawrence, and Steven, Broken Arrow, Okla.; two daughters, Carole Amerine, Belleview, Fla., and Cherrill Shoemaker, Lawrence; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Lonnie, died July 30, 1965.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Douglas County, sent in care of the funeral home.
