Mel Quisenberry
Private services for Mel Quisenberry, 78, Lawrence, will be at a later date.
Mr. Quisenberry died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 26, 1923, in Tonganoxie, the son of Walter M. and Mabel (Burnau) Quisenberry. He lived in Lawrence the past 34 years after moving from Tonganoxie.
Mr. Quisenberry was a World War II Navy veteran and a retired brick mason.
He married Doris R. Dowers May 25, 1968, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a stepdaughter, Sara Houser, Baldwin, and a stepson, Eugene Doan, McLouth.
The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Boys and Girls Club, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
