Menhusen services
Services for Minert J. “Mike” Menhusen, 66, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Temple Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Menhusen died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 8, 1935, in Jewell City, the son of Minert H. and Grace L. (Dorsey) Menhusen. He lived in Kansas City, Mo., before he moved in 1974 to Lawrence.
Mr. Menhusen worked in the maintenance department of the Lawrence water department. Before that he had worked in grocery stores in Kansas City, Kan., Kansas City, Mo., and Lawrence.
He married Joy M. Todd on Sept. 25, 1976, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sisters, Fern Henderson, Lawrence, and Marjorie Boatsman, DeLand, Fla.
A son, Timothy Menhusen Bartlett, died earlier.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Calvary Temple Church, sent in care of the mortuary.
