E. Irene Redding

Services for E. Irene Redding, 78, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Private inurnment will be at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Redding died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 22, 1924, in Coffey County, the daughter of Phillip and Nora Pearl (Coffman) Sylvester.

She was a clerk for the Douglas County Clerk’s Office for 10 years and also worked at Douglas County Bank.

Mrs. Redding was a member of First Christian Church in Lawrence.

She married Dean F. Redding on Aug. 12, 1943, in Midland, Tex. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Karon Stevens, Lawrence; a son, Larry D. Redding, Lawrence; two sisters, Judy Blaas, Syracuse, N.Y., and Nina Buck, Perry; and a granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Eudora Nursing Center, sent in care of the mortuary.
