Area Girls: Chargers jolt Jags

? Melisa Ball led all players with 16 points, and Santa Fe Trail improved to 3-0 Monday night with a 51-28 girls basketball victory at Mill Valley. Lindsay Boss added 11 points for the Chargers, and Alison Creek had 10.

Monday night’s game was the first of three this week for Santa Fe Trail. The Chargers play host to DeSoto tonight and Kansas City Piper on Friday.

Mill Valley dropped to 0-3.

Perry – Shannon Wilson scored 14 points and Casey Amerine had 13, but Perry-Lecompton could not overcome an eight-point halftime deficit. Brandi Jones added 10 points for the Kaws, who fell to 0-3.

Chelsea Ernzen of Pleasant Ridge led all players with 16 points.
