Snyder taps Dunn starter

? The waning Kansas State quarterback controversy has been settled for now anyway.

Coach Bill Snyder has given senior Marc Dunn the nod over junior Ell Roberson as the starter for the Wildcats’ season opener Saturday against Western Kentucky.

But Snyder was quick to point out that the decision wasn’t easy and the depth chart can easily be changed.

“Marc will be a starter for our first ball game and he earned the right,” Snyder said. “But it has been tremendously competitive. I’m extremely pleased with both quarterbacks’ approach to this.”

Snyder said he gave the job to Dunn because of his off-season preparation and the fact that Dunn committed fewer errors during scrimmages.
