Lawrence School board

Public invited to comment on budget

Bottom Line

The public is invited to comment about the board’s proposed budget for 2002-2003 during a 30-minute meeting.

Background

Supt. Randy Weseman said the hearing was a chance for the public to ask questions about the district’s spending.

He said the budget included a 5 percent increase in salary and benefits for district employees. Money for that allocation was drawn from $3.2 million in program budget cuts and student fee increases.
