Browns’ back passes exam

? The Cleveland Browns are relieved after tests on Tuesday showed no damage in rookie running back William Green’s sore right shoulder.

Green has his own reason to be relieved: The exam is over.

The first-round draft pick had some discomfort in his shoulder last week and then aggravated it during a full-contact practice against the Buffalo Bills in Rochester, N.Y.

But Tuesday’s MRI revealed no major problems.

Browns coach Butch Davis said Green has some minor fraying in the shoulder, but the former Boston College star should return to practice Wednesday after sitting out the past two days.

“It turned out to be really good,” Davis said. “There was no structural damage. The swelling is at a minimum. He has full range of motion. All anticipation is that not only will he return to practice, but there is a very good chance he will play in the game on Saturday.”
