Jeff Morgan and Patricia Kovalchuk, both of Topeka, and Cliff Evans, Baldwin, and Barbara Evans, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children Sarah Morgan and Dana Evans, both of Lawrence.

The future bride is a 1994 graduate of Topeka High School. She received an associate’s degree from Cottey College and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Kansas University. She is employed by AAFP.

The future groom is a 1981 Lawrence High School graduate. He is a custodial specialist at KU.

They couple plan a May 25 wedding at the South Park gazebo in Lawrence.

Morgan-Dodds

Larry and Theresa Morgan, Lawrence, and Sherree and Milford Clinton, Centerville, announce the engagement of their children, Crystal Dawn Morgan and Christopher Lee Dodds.

The future bride is a 1998 graduate of Lawrence High School and attended Kansas University. She is preparing to enter nursing school.

The future groom is a 1993 graduate of Sumner Academy and graduated in 2001 with a degree in electrical engineering from KU. He is an officer of nuclear power with the U.S. Navy.

The couple plan a June 22 wedding at the Free Methodist Church in Lawrence.

Chuck and Feryl Potter, Valley Center, announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Potter, to Chris Wolf, Russell.

The future bride is a graduate of Valley Center High School and a graduate of Fort Hays State University. She is a reporter at the Ottawa Herald.

The future groom is the son of Richard and Karleen Wolf, Russell, and the grandson of Anna Klema, Russell. He is a graduate of Russell High School and is employed by Dillons in Lawrence.

The couple plan a June 1 wedding at First United Methodist Church in Valley Center.

The future bride is a 1995 graduate of Baldwin High School and a 2000 graduate of Kansas State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She teaches second grade in the Lawrence school district.

The future groom is a 1994 graduate of Lawrence High School and a 1999 graduate of Kansas State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. He is a junior high school teacher and coach for the Baldwin school district.

The couple plan an Aug. 3 wedding in Douglas County.

Seely-Paynter

Harold B. and Joan H. Seely, Tonganoxie, announce the engagement of their daughter, Shari A. Seely, Tonganoxie, to Kenneth W. Paynter, Overland Park.

The future bride is a 1984 graduate of Tonganoxie High School. She is employed by Wal-Mart Supercenter in Shawnee.

The future groom is the son of the late Harold and Joan Seely. He is a 1982 graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. He is employed by Wal-Mart in Overland Park.

The future bride received a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Kansas University. She is pursuing a juris doctorate at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School.

The future groom graduated from Kansas University with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science. He is pursuing a juris doctorate and master’s degree at KU. He is a member of the Kansas Law Review.
