Haskell Indian Nations University’s softball team split a pair of doubleheaders over the weekend.

The Fighting Indians beat Peru State, 5-4, Friday after falling, 10-9, in 11 innings in the opener. The Indians beat York, 3-1, then fell, 8-7. Katie Renwick was winning pitcher against York and Kim DeRoin against Peru State.

Renwick hit .458 in eight games last week. Tara Bender hit .375 and scored seven runs. Haskell improved to 18-16-2.
