He was born Nov. 25, 1957, in Lawrence, the son of Arthur Queen and Phyllis Hobbs.

Mr. Queen was employed as a truck driver for the Army Air Force Exchange Service, Department of Defense.

Survivors include a son, Adam, Kansas City, Mo.; his father, Lawrence; his mother and a stepfather, Doran Hobbs, Topeka; a brother, Lee, Lawrence; a stepbrother, Robert Hobbs, Liberty, Kan.; a stepsister, Delores Heinen, Valley Falls; and his maternal grandmother, Florence Brown, Topeka.
