Pearl Clark

She was born Sept. 6, 1921, in Brunswick, Mo., the daughter of George E. and Melzina (Garner) Sparks. She moved to Lawrence in 1958 and to Eudora in 1985.

She was a housekeeper at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1983. She also worked for many years at home doing ironing for individuals.

She married John U. Clark on March 6, 1936, in Keytesville, Mo. He died in November 1989.

Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Leonard, Eudora; a son, John R. Clark, Eudora; two sisters, Lucille Daniels, Clinton, Mo., and Opal Schultz, Urich, Mo.; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

A daughter, Elsie Miller, died earlier.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn. or to the Eudora Nursing Center, sent in care of the mortuary.
