Interstate 70 shut down after tanker accident

? Kansas City rush-hour traffic was delayed for more than an hour after a tanker filled with thousands of gallons of gasoline became disconnected from its cab on Interstate 70.

The tanker rolled to the middle of the interstate just east of downtown and came to a stop around 5 a.m.

Although there was no leak, the major east-west route was blocked for a half-mile in either direction of the accident until the fuel could be pumped into a backup tanker.
