Stephen James Grosdidier, 14, will receive the Eagle Scout Award in a Court of Honor ceremony on April 14. The ceremony will be at 2 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, 4211 N.W. Topeka Ave., Topeka.

Grosdidier began scouting in 1993 as a Tiger Cub with Cub Scout Pack 50, continuing with Pack 193. He earned the Arrow of Light Award and the Pari Deli Vue before becoming a Boy Scout and joining Troop 30 as a Webelo Scout. Grosdidier completed 32 merit badges while working toward his Eagle.

His Eagle Project entailed rebuilding the entrance sign to the Governor’s Trails and landscaping around the sign. He is the son of Jim and Debbie Grosdidier, Topeka, and grandson of Riley and Opal Trefethen, and Norbert and Margaret Grosdidier, all of Eudora.

Boy Scout Troop 52, chartered by the First United Methodist Church in Lawrence, had its biannual Court of Honor on March 26. The event began with a Wood Badge ceremony for Herb Tuttle, assistant Scoutmaster, who was honored for completing the Wood Badge Training program in the Quivira Council. Wood Badge is an advanced training program for adults and requires work on specific tasks to be done after the basic training. Tuttle is a member of the C-29-00 Antelope Patrol. Other members of his patrol who attended were Wayne Deaver, Troop 52; Mark Gleeson, Troop 59; John Scarffe, Troop 59, and Mark Stogsdill, Troop 59.

The following boys received rank advancement during the Court of Honor: Tim Barta, 2nd Class; Jack Berkowitz, Life; Paul Bireta, Life; Evan Cloar, Scout Tenderfoot; Justin Deaver, Life; Philip Gilreath, Star; Joshua Hill, Scout; Levi Klundt, Scout; David Long, 1st Class; Mason McCurdy, Life; David Olhausen, Star; Henry Reiske, Life; Sean Ridenour, Scout; Tristan Wagner, Life; Gus Wigen-Toccalilno, Scout.

Other boys who received Merit Badges or other awards were Bill Berkowitz, Cyril Cook, Josh Cosgrove, Cameron Hershiser, Westley Hinkle, Nickolas Joseph, Will Sharp, Evan Tedlock and Pete Tuttle.

Rod Zinn, committee chairman, presented the other adult leaders with Certificates of Appreciation for the work they have done. A Friends of Scouting presentation was made by Kip Grosshans.
