Olathe ? Olathe South bashed 24 hits and rolled to a Sunflower League softball sweep of Lawrence High on Tuesday at frigid Olathe District Activities Center.

The Falcons (2-0) won, 9-3 and 12-2.

“They hit the ball really well, but we didn’t play like we are capable of playing,” said LHS coach Reenie Stogsdill, whose squad dipped to 1-3. “We struggled defensively and we were missing a key starter (Danielle Huff, a center fielder/third baseman). We had to move people around.”

In the first game, Haley Bowlin doubled for Lawrence’s lone extra-base hit.

In the second game, Jennifer Narcomey doubled and tripled to lead LHS.
