Robert and Jean Givens, Lawrence, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 7 with family.
Robert Givens and Jean Mason were married June 7, 1959, at Partridge Community Church in Partridge.
Robert graduated from Hutchinson High School. He worked for Dillons in Hutchinson, Lyons, Shawnee and Lawrence for 44 years before he retired in 1999. He now works at Hy-Vee in Lawrence. Jean graduated from Partridge High School. She worked for Borton, Inc., in Hutchinson, and was also a homemaker. She later worked for Capitol Federal, in Lawrence, and also retired in 1999. The couple have lived in Partridge, Hutchinson, Lyons and Lawrence.
They have three daughters, Rhonda Felix, Olathe; Julie Pruitt, De Soto; and Amy Riley, Lawrence; two sons, Wayne and Kyle, both of Lawrence; and 11 grandchildren.
