Amanda Atwell, Surprise, Ariz., formerly of Lawrence, and Jose Casas, Surprise, Ariz., were married May 29, 2009, at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, Sun City, Ariz., with the Rev. Martha Conner officiating.
The bride is the daughter of William Atwell, Lawrence, and Angela Atwell, Surprise, Ariz.
The groom is the son of Ismael Casas and Maury Hernandez-Casas, Surprise, Ariz.
Maid of honor was Kaley Houk. Best man was Jose Lopez. Bridesmaids were Kristy Larocca, Gloria Cameron and Alby Gamboa. Groomsmen were Roberto Navarro, Mario Navarro and Patrick Bishop. Flower girls were Alyssa Atwell, Abby Pruzinski, Jasmin Navarro and Juliana Perez. Ringbearer was Fransisco Navarro.
A reception was given at Salon Barcelona Reception Hall, El Mirage, Ariz.
The bride attended Lawrence High School and graduated early from E-Institute in Arizona. She will graduate with associate degree in social work this December, then pursue a master’s degree at Arizona State University.
The groom attended Peoria (Ariz.) High School, is a head cook at Applebee’s Restaurant, and is preparing to attend a Culinary Arts Institute to become a professional chef.
The couple reside in Surprise, Ariz.
