Merle and Sharal Newland, Richmond, along with Jim and Lynn Woods, Kansas City, Kan., announce the engagement of their children, Megan Newland, Richmond, and Brian Woods, Kansas City, Kan.
The future bride is a graduate of Wellsville High School. She earned an associate’s degree from Fort Scott Community College in 2005 and is employed by Heartland Family Health Care of Olathe.
The future groom is a graduate of Piper High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Ottawa University in 2008 and is employed by Western Enterprise.
The couple plan an Oct. 10, 2009, wedding at Central United Methodist Church in Lawrence.
