Tadokoro leads KU women’s golf at Sunflower Invitational

After dealing with inclement weather during the first tournament of the season, the Jayhawks were greeted with sunny skies as they competed in the first two rounds of the Sunflower Invitational at Colbert Hills Golf Course in Manhattan.

Sera Tadokoro led the way early for Kansas, tallying two birdies and shooting consistently throughout the day to finish just 1-over. Tadokoro currently sits at fourth place.

Pear Pooratanaopa followed right behind Tadokoro as she recorded three birdies and finished 6-over for Day 1 in 20th place. Yi-Tsen Chou also had a solid outing, carding five birdies and sitting just outside the Top 20 in 23rd place.

As a team, KU shot 29-over 576, good for fifth place positioning in the opening rounds of action.
