Hill named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week

University of Kansas volleyball junior middle blocker Zoe Hill is the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Hill was involved in half of the team’s 32 team blocks during wins over Drake and TCU last week, totaling 15 block-assists and one solo block. Hill led the Big 12 in blocks per set (2.00), while contributing 19 kills on a .302 hitting percentage on the offensive end.

As a team, the Jayhawks lead the Big 12 in blocks per set (2.84) and rank second in opponent hitting percentage (.166).

Kansas travels to Oklahoma at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
