Letter to the editor: Making up our own rules

To the editor:

Whether or not one agrees with the latest Supreme Court ruling or not, a troubling trend around it has emerged. Seems that a good number of prosecutors around the country have stated publicly that they will not prosecute those activities related to abortion. If these individuals can decide what laws to enforce and which ones to ignore, why can’t I? I’m a lucid, thoughtful person who is just as capable as any one of them in deciding what I like or don’t like about a law.

Should we continue down this path, then society’s rules for living together really don’t apply. Guess I’m free to make up my own?
