Letter to the editor: City Band is a gem

To the editor:

We were most fortunate to join others at our great Lied Center on Wednesday for the Lawrence City Band performance. The evening was most uplifting, inspiring and informative. The City Band, composed of Lawrence citizens, is, in our minds, another crown jewel not to be missed. The last two performances for this summer are July 7 and 14 at 8 p.m. at South Park.
