Letter to the editor: Narrow margin

To the editor:

Regarding a recent article in the Journal-World: Rep. Steve Watkins stated that fewer than 1% of constituents who contacted his office mentioned the Mueller report. “There doesn’t appear to be much there,” Watkins said. I want to point out that he won his seat by less than 1% of the 2018 vote. My concern is, could Russian interference propaganda in the election have affected the votes of 3,000 constituents in the Second Congressional District?

My emphasis is on the value of news reporting versus campaign ads and to ask the Journal-World to edit its campaign coverage to ensure informative, impartial, accurate and complete reporting.
