A Shawnee man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of rape, according to the Douglas County Jail booking log.

The 28-year-old was taken into custody at the downtown Douglas County Judicial and Law Enforcement Center early Wednesday on a probable cause warrant, according to the booking log.

He is suspected of raping an unconscious victim on May 11, 2019, the charging document in his pending Douglas County District Court case shows.

As of Wednesday afternoon, he was being held in jail on $50,000 cash or surety bond.
