Olathe man seriously injured in accident on K-10, KHP reports

An Olathe man suffered serious injuries in an accident on Kansas Highway 10 Monday afternoon, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The man, Seth Beckman, 64, was headed eastbound on K-10 in a Buick LeSabre at mile marker 17, about a half-mile west of Church Street in Eudora, when he reportedly swerved off the left side of the roadway and into the center median, the report says. He then crossed the median into the westbound lane of traffic, then swerved back into the center median, which caused his car to roll twice before coming to rest in the median, the report says.

Scanner traffic indicated that an air ambulance had been ready to take off, but it was canceled because the man’s injuries were not as severe as first responders initially thought. He was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, the KHP report says.

Beckman was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
