Armed robbery reported at North Lawrence gas station; police looking for suspect

Lawrence police are looking for a suspect after a reported armed robbery Tuesday morning at a North Lawrence gas station.

Officers responded to Wood Oil, 920 N. Second St., around 6:20 a.m., police said in a news release.

A man reported that he had been robbed by a masked man who was armed with “what appeared to be a firearm,” police said. The suspect, described as a white man wearing a dark mask and dark clothing, fled south on foot with money, police said.
