Temperatures cooled off in Lawrence on Monday, but it was still hot enough for lemonade. Lily White, 10, Lydia Hollaway, 9, Katelyn White, 7, and Cameron See, 8, were selling lemonade and homemade bracelets made out of rubber bands from their west Lawrence neighborhood. The group said they planned to add Kool-Aid to their menu in the future.

Weather-wise in Lawrence, the forecast from the National Weather Service calls for a brief respite from the extremely hot weather. Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be in the mid to upper 80s, but Thursday’s forecast calls for a high of 95 degrees.
