COVID-19 cases in Douglas County remain at 58

Douglas County reported 58 cases of COVID-19 as of Wednesday, local officials said, the same count as Tuesday.

In Douglas County, 47 out of the 58 people with confirmed cases of COVID-19 have recovered, Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health said in its daily update. Out of the 58 cases, one is probable, meaning the person has symptoms of COVID-19 and came into contact with someone with a positive case, but has not yet been tested.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s online map noted that 2,084 Douglas County residents have been tested for the disease so far. The county’s testing rate per 1,000 people was 17.05.

No patients at Lawrence’s hospital had COVID-19 on Wednesday, according to a release from LMH Health.
