Lawrence train buffs will be able to view a piece of railroad history Tuesday as the steam locomotive Big Boy No. 4014 makes a stop at the old Union Pacific depot at 402 N. Second St. in North Lawrence.

The public is invited to view the steam locomotive from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the depot. The railroad restored the steam locomotive and is conducting a cross-country tour of the Union Pacific system to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad.
