If you haven’t caught a Wednesday performance of the Lawrence City Band this summer, your last chance will be this week.

The band will wrap up another season of its outdoor performances on Wednesday at the South Park bandstand, 1141 Massachusetts St.

The “Grand Finale” show, starting at 8 p.m., will feature “Light Cavalry Overture,” “Carnival of Venice” and “In The Mood,” among other selections. The show will conclude, as it does every year, with crowd favorites “1812 Overture” and “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”

The concert is free and open to the public. Those attending are encouraged to bring portable chairs or blankets.

In case of inclement weather, the concert will be at the Lied Center, 1600 Stewart Drive. Inclement weather, as determined by Lawrence’s Parks and Recreation Department, includes extreme heat.
