Dominant fourth quarter lifts Veritas to 71-51 win

Leading by two points at the beginning of the fourth quarter Saturday, Veritas Christian’s boys basketball team pulled away from Derby Invasion with a dominant defensive display in a 71-51 victory in Derby.

The Eagles outscored Derby, 20-2, in the fourth quarter. Trey Huslig scored a game-high 20 points while Grant Schuck added 14.

Veritas (9-8) will play host to Topeka Cornerstone at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Perry-Lecompton High.
