Trailing by two points after three quarters against Class 6A opponent Gardner Edgerton, Veritas Christian’s boys basketball team couldn’t keep up in a 49-36 loss in the first round of the Spring Hill Invitational Basketball Tournament on Tuesday.

Grant Schuck led the Eagles (8-5) with 10 points. Veritas will face Spring Hill at 4:45 p.m. Thursday in the consolation semifinals.
