LHS baseball tops Olathe East

? Michael Sinks went 4-for-4 with two triples and three stolen bases, and Lawrence High’s baseball team defeated Olathe East, 10-7, on Tuesday in a game suspended because of rain last Thursday.

The game was tied, 5-all in the third inning, when it resumed Tuesday.

Luke Padia homered, and Zak McAlister earned the victory.

“What was great for us tonight was Zak McAlister on the mound,” LHS coach Brad Stoll said. “He gave us three quality innings.”

The Lions (7-12) will meet Free State at 7 p.m. today at Hoglund Ballpark.
