Topeka ? Lawrence High’s girls bowling team placed four individuals in the top 10 to coast to a victory Tuesday at the Topeka Seaman Invitational at Westridge Lanes.

Morgan Daniels and Ashlee Erickson each bowled series of 500 or better and took third and fourth place, respectively. Daniels bowled a high game of 173 in her third game to round out a 502 series while Erickson closed out her day with a 209 final game to complete a 500 series.

Izzy Schmidtberger followed close behind with a 491 series, which was good enough for sixth place, and Miranda Krom rolled a final game of 200 to secure a ninth-place finish and 472 series.

The Lions beat out second-place Topeka by 69 pins to take the team title with 2,035 points.

The LHS boys squad took third in the highly contested quadrangular, while having two Lions place in the top five.

Javier Lemmons was the individual runner-up with a 621 series. Lemmons started out strong with a 247 first game before settling back into the 180s.

Ivan Davidson steadily improved as the day went on to earn a fifth-place finish. Davidson bowled games of 169, 199 and 209.

Topeka Seaman won the team title on the boys side with 2405 points.
