Shawnee ? Free State High’s softball team dropped a pair of games Friday in the Shawnee Mission South jamboree. The Firebirds fell to Maize, 15-5, and to Shawnee Heights, 14-5.

In the Firebirds’ loss to Heights, FSHS trailed just 6-5 entering the seventh, but Heights scored eight runs in the seventh.

Free State (5-4) will play two games today in the jamboree: Blue Valley West at 1 p.m. and Blue Valley at 3 p.m.
