The Firebirds (17-18) earned a No. 3 seed in the Class 6A Olathe South regional and will face the sixth-seeded Lions (13-23) on Saturday afternoon at O-South.

The winner of Saturday’s match will face the winner of second-seeded Olathe East (29-8) and seventh-seed Olathe North (9-27) in the sub-state championship.

Meanwhile, Bishop Seabury’s volleyball team (18-15) earned a fourth-seed in the 2A Burlingame regional and will face Heritage Christian Academy (14-19) on Saturday afternoon.
