Auditions this week for Arts Center’s ‘Escape from the Labyrinth’

Auditions are this week for the Lawrence Arts Center’s upcoming all-ages production of “Escape from the Labyrinth: The Adventures of Thesus and Icarus.”

The play is written, composed, and directed by Ric Averill with puppetry — including a giant Minotaur and other monsters — and costumes by the center’s resident performing artist, Spencer Lott.

Auditions are from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire St. Ages 7 and older are welcome, and families may audition together. No audition material is needed, as auditions will consist of theater exercises and improvisation. Attendees should wear comfortable clothes and bring any instruments they play proficiently.

Performances are set for Feb. 8, 9 and 10. For more information about the production, auditions and rehearsals, visit lawrenceartscenter.org.
