Sally Morgan Brasher Lowther

Sally B. Lowther, 79, passed away March 8, 2017 in Fort Worth, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Bear Creek Community Church, 18553 S. Hwy. 377, Cresson, Texas 76035. Interment in Lexington Memory Gardens in Lexington, Missouri.

Sally was born February 10, 1938 in Lexington, Missouri to Benjamin Hamilton Brasher and Lois Amanda Stoutimore Brasher. She graduated from Lexington High School and the University of Missouri, Columbia. Sally married Edward J. Lowther on October 8, 1960. She was a stay­at­ home mom until their final move to Columbia where she resided for over 30 years. Sally retired from the Missouri Division of Family Services, Callaway County, as a caseworker for 32 years. Following retirement she went to reside with her daughter and son­in­law in Baldwin City, Kan., and three years later moved with them to Fort Worth, Texas. Mom was a very strong woman with incredible faith in our Lord. Her survival from polio at the age of 8 contributed to her faith, strength, and compassion to others. She will be greatly missed but her legacy will live on.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward J. Lowther; and her granddaughter, Kaitlyn Leigh Grissum.
Survivors: Daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Lowther Grissum and husband, Gary Lee Grissum; son, Edward Brasher Lowther and wife, Laurel Christensen Lowther; grandchildren, Morgan Elizabeth Grissum, Christopher Thomas Grissum and wife, Carly Simpson Grissum and their son, Corbin Lee Grissum, Edward Alexander Lowther, Hanna Lynn Lowther, and Ainsley Grace Lowther; sister, Judith Elizabeth Brasher Van Gaasbeek and her son, Benham Brasher Van Gaasbeek and wife, Tina.
