Henry Bode Jr. of Towanda, KS and Robin Ridgeway of Blue Springs, MO announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha May Bode, to David Dean Garrison Jr., son of David Dean Sr. and Kelly Garrison of Vinland, KS. The bride-to-be is a 2011 graduate of Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, MO. She graduated from Kansas State University in May 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, and is attending a master’s program in marketing at Southern New Hampshire University. She is currently employed as a Channel Sales Specialist at Merck Animal Health in De Soto, KS. The groom-to-be is a 2009 graduate of Baldwin High School in Baldwin City, KS. He graduated from Johnson County Community College in 2012 with an associate’s degree in Construction Science and Management. He is currently employed as a Foreman for Sunflower Paving Inc. in Lawrence, KS. The couple is planning a September 23, 2017 wedding at the Vinland United Methodist Church, Vinland, KS, followed by a reception at the Vinland Fair Grounds.
