Rick and Debby Smoots, McLouth, along with Gary Prouty, Grand Forks, N.D., and Karen Prouty, Baldwin City, announce the engagement of their children, Marcy Smoots and Kevin Prouty, both of Pomona.
The future bride is a 1992 graduate of McLouth High School and attended Kansas University and Kansas State University. She previously was employed at Hallmark Cards Inc. in Lawrence and Heatron Inc. in Leavenworth and is currently employed at TVH Parts Co. in Olathe.
The future groom is a 1993 graduate of Dunseth High School in North Dakota. He moved to Kansas in 1994 and is the owner/operator of Pride Services electrical company.
The couple plan an Oct. 6, 2012, wedding at Enright Gardens in Edgerton.
