Marge and John Hummelgaard, Rogers, Ark., will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 26 at the VFW, 910 E. First St., Tonganoxie.
The couple were married Sept. 24, 1949, in Camden, Mo.
Marge was born in Lawrence and retired as the center director of Bell Center in Kansas City, Kan. John was born in Tonganoxie and retired as the maintenance foreman with the Board of Public Utilities in Kansas City, Kan.
They have four daughters, Vicki Bowman, Gladstone, Mo.; Cherry Mastro, Tonganoxie, Donna Kolojaco, Oskaloosa, and chief master sergeant Kathy Gaul, March Air Base, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The couple requests no gifts.
