James Boldt, Urbandale, Iowa, and Stacie Blackwell, Gardner, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Boldt, to Nathan Atwood, both of Gardner.
The future bride is a 2000 graduate of Gardner-Edgerton High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business in 2003 and a juris doctorate in 2006, both from Kansas University. She earned a master’s degree in business from the University of Missouri-Kansas City this summer and is an attorney at ABS Legal Advocates P.A. in Lawrence.
The future groom is the son of David Atwood and June Ryan, both of Lawrence. He is a 2001 graduate of Free State High School and studying for an associate degree in applied science. He works at Amarr Garage Doors in Lawrence.
The couple plan an Aug. 22, 2009, wedding at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence.
