Swxampyville’s - Ask the Politically Correct (Constitutional Republic)

Swamypville's Ask the Politically Correct!

Question: What are the definitions for Constitutional Republic, Democracy, Oligarchy/Plutocracy, Dictatorship and Monarchy?

Politically Correct Resolution:

Constitutional Republic! (Representative Democracy) (Wikipedia)

A Constitutional Republic is a state, where the head of state and other officials are representatives of the people and must govern according to existing constitutional law that limits the government's power over all of its citizens. In that the head of the state is elected, it is a republic and not a monarchy.

In a constitutional republic, executive, legislative, and judicial powers are separated into distinct branches.

The fact that a constitution exists that limits the government's power makes that state constitutional. That the head of state and other officials are chosen by election, rather than inheriting their positions and that their decisions are subject to judicial review, makes the state a republic.

The greatest example of a Constitutional Republic WAS the old United States of America!

Democracy!

Democracy is a form of government in which all citizens have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives. Ideally, this includes equal participation in the proposal, development and passage of legislation into law.

The greatest example was Ancient Greece!

CURRENTLY THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC AND NOT A DEMOCRACY AS OUR LEADERS LEAD US TO BELIEVE!

Oligarchy/Plutocracy!

Oligarchy/Plutocracy is a form of power structure in which power effectively rests with a small number of people. These people could be distinguished by royalty, wealth, family ties, corporate, or military control. Such states are often controlled by a few prominent families who pass their influence from one generation to the next.

Plutocracy is rule by the wealthy, or (power provided by wealth). The combination of both plutocracy and oligarchy is called plutarchy.

The greatest example of an Oligarchy/Plutocracy was the old Soviet Union Communism! It still is.

Dictatorship!

A dictatorship is defined as an autocratic form of government in which the government is ruled by an individual, the dictator.

It is a government controlled by one person, or a small group of people. In this form of government the power rests entirely on the person or group of people, and can be obtained by force or by inheritance. The dictator, may also take away much, if not all, of the people's freedom. In contemporary usage, dictatorship refers to an autocratic form of absolute rule by leadership unrestricted by law, constitutions, or other social and political factors within the state.

Dictatorship remains a relatively common phenomenon. (Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, Libya etc.)

The greatest example of a Dictatorship was the Roman Empire!

Monarchy!

A monarchy is a form of government in which all political power is passed down to an individual (usually hereditary) known as a monarch ("single ruler"), king or queen.

Historically, the notion of monarchy may emerge under different circumstances. It may grow out of tribal kingship, and the office of monarch (kings) becoming typically hereditary, resulting in successive dynasties or "houses", especially when the leader is wise and able enough to lead

The Miracle of Life! By L. Don Oliver

Thunder chasing the lightening, As it streaks across the sky; Rain falling upon its sustenance, So that it will never die;

The sun's rays dancing through the raindrops, The storms clouds begin to clear; Through the magic that comes from on high, A beautiful rainbow wondrously appears;

Water trickling down the mountain, To the rivers flowing far below; We marvel at the glorious miracle, That Nature has chosen to bestow;

Although we are just mere mortals, Upon this place called earth; We are blessed with the wisdom, To witness its rebirth;

The Coin! By L. Don Oliver

Hearing the mourning of a train, before it rounded the bend; Standing next to the tracks, waiting for it to descend;

Walking up to the tracks, placing a nickel upon the rail; Raising up to a straight position, then hauling my teen age tail;

The engineer blows his whistle, waves as he goes flying by; hoping to find the errant nickel, I will give it a yeoman's try;

Finally finding the nickel, mashed to a large flat, It was my last nickel, why did I do that;

Placebo Health Care! By Ollie Owl

The Physician has a diploma, To show to the fool; One that he got, From an "Online" school;

Granny was in an accident, The government said, "What the Heck"; Give her a couple of placebos, To mend her broken neck;

(Chorus)

The government loves, Placebos, Placebos, The government loves, Placebo Meds; The government loves, Placebos, Placebos, The government loves, Placebo Meds;

The old man was starving, Sick and lying in bed; In need of an emergency operation, or he would be dead;

He went to a doctor, Before it was too late, The doctor informed him, There was a three year wait;

(Chorus)

The government loves, Placebos, Placebos, The government loves, Placebo Meds; The government loves, Placebos, Placebos, The government loves, Placebo Meds;

Scheduled an appointment a year ago, With a Medical Assistant named Bee; It was rescheduled for another year, With a Medical Assistant named Cee;

I have Health Insurance, The premiums once were low; The costs have tripled, Now that the government is running the show;

(Chorus)

The government loves, Placebos, Placebos, The government loves, Placebo Meds; The government loves, Placebos, Placebos, The government loves, Placebo Meds;

Sunset of Our Being! By L. Don Oliver

The Sunset of Our Being, It is nearly at it's high; The memories from yesterday, Is tomorrow's sad goodbye;

Dreams dared to be dreamed, Alas, will never come true; Those dreams have been destroyed, By the avarice's cunning hue;

When twilight meets the night, The dreams we use to share; They will all become passe, For those who didn't care;

That day will eventually dawn, The Sunset of Our Being is nigh; When it will be too late to say, Where, Oh! Where, was I;

The Hunt by L. Don Oliver

My abduction from reality, By an unforeseen force; Abhorrent desires instilled, Upon my selfish course;

Tracking unsuspecting prey, Pursuing through its domain; Eventing upon its misery, With eternal sleep via pain;

Desirous of a trophy prize, Reluctance to devour at all; Extolling that creatures head, When mounted upon my wall;
