I will address issues pertaining to disability rights in the state of Kansas and also nationally as they affect Kansans. In addition, I will draw attention to court cases that involve people with disabilites and any cases of discrimination, neglect, or abuse as well.

Rushing HB 2331 a Bad "IDEA" by Steve Moffitt

Rushing House Bill 2331 through without examining it closely could hurt the 65,000 Kansas students who are in special education. The Kansas House Education Committee needs to take its time, contemplate the needs of Kansas students with disabilites, and not simply mirror the newly reauthorized IDEA legislation.
