The undead are taking over downtown Thursday night for the fourth annual Lawrence Zombie Walk, and we’re bringing you all the (fake) brains and blood live on Lawrence.com and LJWorld.com.

The event starts with zombies gathering in South Park at 7 p.m. followed by the graceful stumble of the living dead down Massachusetts Street at 7:30 p.m.

If you can’t make this year’s walk, we’ll begin live streaming at 7:30 p.m. on Lawrence.com and LJWorld.com. If you have pics of your zombie getup, make sure you submit them for our photo gallery.

The event keeps living humans and animals in mind, too. Those participating are encouraged to bring blankets, towels, food and other supplies for the Lawrence Humane Society, nonperishable food items for local food banks, and winter clothing for the Lawrence Homeless Shelter.
