We’re back: Lavender, fashion, taverns and a farewell

After a short fall-off in posting for The Lasso, let’s get back in the saddle, shall we? Here’s a round-up of what local blogs are up to post-Fourth of July, moving into the heart of summer.

• There’s a groundbreaking for a new hotel today at 9th and New Hampshire streets, a place where Larryville Artists says they “used to fly kites.” The blog posted a few images from a photo essay tribute to the space by Dave Loewenstein.

• New summer style post on Style on the Hill.

• Mrs. Mass takes a trip to Made (and makes off with a cute praline-scented candle. Support local!).

• My Bit of Earth tours a Lawrence lavender farm, Washington Creek Lavender (great plan for a summer staycation). If only the photos were scratch and sniff.

• Last but not least, I Heart Local Music joins in on some tavern love with a post on Frank’s North Star Tavern (also see: Johnny’s Tavern’s 60th anniversary).
